 She was afraid of the colossal rollercoaster.  Jack ran from the colossal giant.

 The unruly child was chastened by his mother when she returned.  Chastened by past experience, the boy decided to follow the rules, even when the teacher was not there.

 The little girl’s claim to be queen of the playground was asinine.  Running around the room making silly sounds and faces is asinine behavior.

 Austin endured a great deal of anguish when he broke his wrist, although the medication helped.  The family experienced great anguish when their loved one passed on.

 The people attending the service, expressed their condolence to the family who lost their loved one.  She wrote a note of condolence to her friend after the friend’s favorite fish died.

 His mother expressed a great deal of indignation after he burped at the dinner table.  The child yelled in indignation when her mother told her she could not go outside to play.
