What is Matter? 2nd Grade Science By Vaneta Hibdon

What is Matter? Matter is all around you. Matter consists of anything that has mass and takes up space. Matter is made up of small particles called atoms.

There are three states of Matter 1.Solid 2.Liquid 3.Gas

Solid  Solids have a definite size and shape.  They keep their shape unless broken. How many solids can you name?

Liquid Liquids are wet and do not have its own shape. It takes the shape of the container. Juice Water Soda Can you name any other types of liquid?

Gas Gases do not have a shape or size and float through the air taking up all available space. bubbles Steam Oxygen Do you know any other gases?
