Fats The body uses fat as fuel As nerve tissue To protect muscles There are different types of fat –Saturated fat –Unsaturated fats Foods like donuts have lots of fat

Protein Protein is the main component –Body tissue –Muscle tissue Protein also Helps muscle development Increases strength And improves athletic performance Foods with proteins are milk eggs cherries etc.

Fibre Fibre is indigestible carbohydrates Foods with fibre beans peas, oat bran, Types of fibre are soluble and insoluble Soluble dissolve in water insoluble don't dissolve soluble foods are pectin, guar, gums, mucilage Insoluble foods are cellulose, hemicelluloses, and lignin.

Minerals Kinds of minerals are macro minerals and trace minerals Macro minerals are minerals your body needs in larger amounts. They include calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium Trace minerals Are needed in small amounts Include iron, copper, iodine, zinc and fluoride.

Water 2 stops you from being dehydrated this is loss of water and blood salts like potassium (K+) and sodium (Na+). If your dehydrated for to long it can damage –Your kidneys –Your brain –And your heart
