FETHİYE Fethiye, that is a typical sea-side town, is very important and extraordinary city with not only natural but also historical beauties. Fethiye is arounded Çayağzı the end of the Eşen River on the south side, Kapıdağ isle and the Dalaman city on the west side, Korkuteli and Elmalı on the east side, Gölhisar ve Çameli on the north-side and is placed between the Eagen and mediterrenian regions. Population can reach to the during the summer season while it is almost during winter. 2 5 th WORL WATER FORUM

Drinking Water Drinking water of the Fethiye is supplied from the Ören village Çay gözü region from 38 km away. Flow rate of the water is nearly 600 Lt/sec. and feeded to the 600 km. length water service network with 6 different distribution storage units. Increasing of the capacity to the 1000 Lt/Sec has been planned in order to provide the required amount of water with additional wells with 400 Lt/sec flowrate at the Çaygözü region. There is also another potable water source / reserv at the Karapınar region with 6 different spring wells with 252 Lt/sec. flow rate capacity. 3 5 th WORL WATER FORUM

FETHİYE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT 5 5 th WORL WATER FORUM A Waste Water Treatment Plant and Sewage Network construction project, which went into operation in December 2003, has been financed by German Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ) through KfW. The project has been divided into two lots as construction of a new WWTP (Lot 1) with a design load of PE and target year of 2013, the main pumping station TM4, and a force main of 2,7 km. Rehabilitation of existing pumping stations TM0, TM1 and TM3, as well as construction of 34,2 km of gravity sewers and 3,9 km of force mains has been executed under Lot2, and was finalized in December 2003, together with Lot 1. We have completed ‘I Phase of Fethiye Sewage Project’ successfully.

6 5 th WORL WATER FORUM KfW delegation visited Fethiye Municipality in order to negotiate ‘Regional Fethiye Sewage Project’ in May KfW has provided a fund which is donation for the feasibility study. The tender of ‘Feasibility Study Sewage Disposal Fethiye II’ was made. Our Waste Water Treatment Plant has been rewarded with several certificates and prizes.
