CORPORATE MEMBER PLAN 2011 An long term alliance to find the cure for leukaemia, a seal of social commitment.

Science and Future We base our focus around the financing of scientific research to improve the future for leukaemia patients and one day find a cure. We administer the Bone Marrow Donor’s Registry (REDMO). Background We have more than 20 years experience and an international background with independent headquarters in Spain, the United States, Germany, and Switzerland. Independence We are financed thanks to the periodic support from our members; donations; legacies; and especially the concerts and benefit recitals of our President José Carreras. Social Commitment The commitment to the patient is our fundamental priority. We offer support to hospitals, provide free medical consultations and a network of welfare flats which improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We are a private foundation with a clear objective: “To work towards the day when leukaemia will be a curable disease for all and in all cases”. Who are we? “I always thought that if there was one chance in a million, then it would be mine” Josep Carreras

Each year in Spain, 5,000 new cases of leukaemia are diagnosed. Leukaemia is the most common form of cancer in children, making up 75% of infantile cancer. The cure rate has improved a lot but ¼ of the children and ½ of the adults suffering from leukaemia still do not survive. 3 in every 4 people that require a transplant do not have a compatible family member. In Spain, there are only 84,000 bone marrow donors out of 14 million worldwide.

When a business decides to make a periodic donation to become a partner in the search for leukaemia’s cure, they show their commitment to a better future for all leukaemia patients. With a 23 year history the José Carreras Foundation values immensely, the trust and loyalty to its cause. For that reason our corporate members are a source of pride, and we want to communicate and share that fact with society. To be a Corporate member

“Corporate Member” plan Corporate members of honour From10,000 €/year VIP corporate members Between 4,000 and 9,999 €/year Corporate members Between1,500 and 3,999 €/year Other corporate members Up to 1,499 €/year Corporate members plan This project organises our corporate members into 3 separate categories based on the annual contribution they make; from a start base of 1,500€.
