Categorical Eligibility Changes in Child Nutrition Program Law and Regulations Pennsylvania Department of Education, June 2005 P.L , Section 107 Effective July 1, 2004

 Homeless, Migrant or Runaway students are categorically eligible for free meals.  Memos on PEARS, Form Download Menu, Homeless/Migrant Children section (7 memos)  Documentation via the school Homeless Liaison or the local Intermediate Unit (IU) for children deemed homeless  Homeless shelter may also document homeless/runaways  The Migrant Office in your area will document migrant eligible students.
