The five pillars of islam
Pillar 1: THE SHAHÂDA ( Witnessing) There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah.
Pillar 2: Salât (Prayer) Five times per day (Pre-dawn, noon, mid- afternoon, after sunset, evening). Toward the East, toward Mecca, toward the Ka‘bah
Ka ‘bah Pre-Islamic tribal shrine Black Stone fell from heaven. Built by Abraham and Ishmael. Positioned beside of the footprint of Abraham.
Pillar 3: zakat Charity
Pillar 4: Fasting During the Fast of Ramadan From sunrise to sunset Abstaining from food, drink, sex Severe enough to cause pain The month of Ramadân in which was revealed the Qur'ân, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights the month of Ramadân he must observe fasts that month.... Allâh intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you.... al-Baqara 2:185
