DO NOT COPY Introduction Once some bank officers become branch managers and they keep on performing well, they are kept on being appointed as branch managers of different branches from time to time Bank officers, working in the Retail Banking segment of the bank, in general, look forward to such appointments as Branch Becoming a Manager is a stepping-stone towards development of one’s career path in the bank. They also feel happy at the confidence reposed by the bank. The bit nervousness is because of the challenges set before the new incumbent.

DO NOT COPY Studying the staff profile; Reading latest audit/ inspection reports of the branch Deeper study of the staff profile and time spent at the HR Department at the Controlling Office will make the Branch Managers job easy in developing their own plan The audit and inspection report will bring entire spectrum of branch functioning in all its dimensions. Detailed notes on the salient points may be prepared. This will help in setting out their priorities A, B, C analysis of the branch for preparation of blue - print of the action plan.
