COMMUNITY INDICATORS CONSORTIUM Integrating Community Indicators And Performance Measures 8 Community Indicators in the Children’s Plan CSC-funded Outcome Performance Measures CSC FY 2008/09 (partial year) Rate of child abuse/neglect per 1,000 children with indicated or verified evidence of maltreatment decreased from 22.1 in State FY 2003/04 to 20.8 in FY 06/07 94% Percentage of parents maintained and/or decreased their experienced level of parenting stress, associated with child/maltreatment. Rate of youth referred for delinquency per 100,000 youth ages 10 – 14 decreased from 2656 in State FY 1999/2000 to 1746 in 2007/08. 94% of unduplicated youth who had no re-offenses 0-12 months after program completion of CSC- funded diversion programs. COMMUNITY INDICATORS CONSORTIUM Integrating Community Indicators And Performance Measures Quantitative Results of Integration Sample of Community Indicators Improved in last 5 years (State FY 2004/05 – FY 2008/09): l Rate of verified child maltreatment decreased from 8.72 to 7.85 (per 1,000 children in the general population birth through age 17) (source: Florida Department of Children & Families FDCF) l Percentage of adoptions finalized within 24 months of latest removal from home from 28.6% to 45.8% (source: FDCF) l Rate of juveniles referred for delinquency ages 10 – 17 (per 100,000 youth in general population) from 4,432 to 4,105 (source: Florida Dept. of Juvenile Justice, FY08/09) 9
