Will owns a bookshop in Notting Hill. One day, a famous star, Anna Scott enters the shop. Will asks her to come in and kisses her. Will invites Anna to go to a birthday party. Then Anna invites him to her room in the hotel Ritz but her boyfriend is there. Will realises he must leave. Half a year later Anna goes to Will’s house because she needs a place to hide out. At night, they speak and go to the bedroom to make love. A group of reporters is in the street. Anna is very angry, she leaves Will again. Later Anna returns to London for a film. She goes to the bookshop and speaks with Will asking him to love her but he says no. Will meets his friends, he realises he really wants Anna. Will and his friends search for Anna, across London.
