Welcome to Awana Coworker Training Aug-26-2011 SLCCC

Our Prayer That all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

We want to: Get as much of God’s Word as deep as we can into the hearts of as many kids as we can.

5 The Five Principles Awana is centered on the gospel. Scripture memory is key. Awana is fun and exciting. Children and youth are trained to serve. Awana is built on strong leadership.

Coworker Expectations

Club Structure SLCCC Pastors / Elders AWANA Commander Club Leader Teachers/Assistants

Coworker Expectations Reflect Christ-like attitudes during your service Take initiative and challenge yourself Know when you are scheduled to serve and your responsibilities when you do serve Arrive on-time (7:15PM) and properly equipped (uniforms, materials) Enforce disciplines as needed Check e-mail regularly

Coworker Scheduling Though we may take into consideration requests to teach your own children, please understand that we are all here to teach God’s children. You may or may not be teaching your own. Your schedule to serve will be communicated to you by club leaders. What if I can’t serve when I’m scheduled to?

Language Used in AWANA English is the primary language If a child does not speak English, Chinese may be used to talk specifically to that child.
