BREATH OF HEAVEN Ezekiel 37:1-14

11 Then He said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’” 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign LORD, you alone know.” EZEKIEL 37:11, 2-3 ruach & pneuma

4 “Do not leave Jerusalem, but WAIT for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard Me speak about … 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses …” ACTS 1:4 & 8 TNIV

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. ACTS 4:31 TNIV

So what’s the message for us today? No matter how it looks from our point of view, we need the Holy Spirit to live as God’s people with power! God is sovereign, but He often chooses to release the power of the Spirit only after we ask Him!

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being … EPHESIANS 3:16 TNIV
