EcoGarden Project HAYES SCHOOL Mission statement The aim of the Hayes School EcoGarden Project is to provide the school, students and community with an outdoor learning resource to support curriculum areas and promote gardening and environmental awareness as an extracurricular activity for students in conjunction with adults from the school and community.

In June 2011 we started our club and have been active since then. The Club is supporting school projects like charity fundraising events. Science classrooms are used as greenhouse. Students, teachers and parents get involved in taking care of them every day and during the holiday.

This is the outdoor space designated for the Project.

After a Saturday Morning Clearing! BeforeAfter

This the paved area were the Gardening club meets.

The paved area also has 2 small ponds with plenty of wildlife to explore. We have a small greenhouse and are using recycled containers to grow vegetables, herbs and flowers...

Outdoor classroom! Still to be developed, this area will have sitting space for a class and several experiments and exhibitions.
