This week we started the day off by working with a professional photographer called Jenny Edmiston. Jenny is a mobile portrait photographer who works all over the country. Her workshops develop students skills in handling an SLR camera and also builds their confidence in standing in front of a camera.
Jenny taught the everyone about all the different parts of the camera and about the lighting. After that it was a case of in at the deep end. ‘Every student took to the task as if they had been doing it for years’. Maybe some real David Bailey’s in the group

Our first task was to learn the art of These are Skullatures - they were sculpturing a head. Richard explained invented by Richard to help people use to everyone that you have to believe that clay freely, but still feel confident in being what you are doing is right and not to be able to achieve the correct shape of a head afraid of how it looks to start with.
Firstly – cover the skullature in air drying clay Next – press in the plastic eyes Then we add the nose – making sure it is moulded in Adding some lips and eyelids and suddenly it’s taking shape Showing off the wonderful features to the rest of the class –(what’s the joke) Richard’s final face – can we top it ?????
