Israelites one side of the valley Philistines on the other side of the valley Both set to fight

Goliath came out of the Philistine camp He was a huge giant over 9 feet tall He wore bronze armour He carried a spear A man carried a shield in front of him

Goliath shouted at the Israelites for 40 days for someone to fight him No one wanted to fight the giant

David tells the Israelites he will fight Goliath He was only a young shepherd boy He only had a wooden staff, 5 stones and a slingshoot

First stone = Courage Second stone = Confidence Third stone = Preparation Fourth stone = Trust Fifth stone = Victory

David took a stone and aimed He hit Goliath in the forehead Goliath fell down and died

We all have a ‘giant’ in our life, some kind of worry or fear If we think of David’s stones we can overcome this fear
