A Global Issue – Water Scarcity With an ever increasing world population, today’s agricultural sector already consumes vast mounts our fresh water supplies and is highly dependent on inputs of fossil fuel energy for production. However, our “modern” agricultural system is starting to face serious supply constraints. Globally, irrigation now accounts for 70 percent of the 3,240 cubic kilometers water withdrawn for human use. Many vegetable growers are already been experiencing issues with water scarcity and quality and have therefore started to invest in expensive water purification equipment to tackle the problem. A Global Issue – Soil Degradation Intensive farming practices have already led to considerable soil degradation in many parts of the world. Soil degradation is a process which is not easily reversed and once desertification occurs, almost irreversible.

Epilogue We remain positive that the purpose of technology should be to reduce costs and raise the quality of the living standards for all mankind, although technology as any other tool should be used wisely and with a symbiotic criteria as far as natural resources are concerned. We believe that proper design (habitat, food production, industrial) should be done with sustainability as its prime criteria. We believe that natural design is the new paradigm. Thank You
