What are Shingles? Shingles consist of red patches of skin with small blisters (vesicles) that look very similar to early chickenpox. What are Chicken Pox? viral infection that produces widespread blisters that can erupt.
Chicken Pox and Shingles both come from the Varicella zoster virus.
