TITLE Let’s save our environment Amna Jabeen Ayesha Iqbal Social studies Grade 8

This project “Let’s save our environment” is based on the pollution problem in our environment. Air pollution is the burning problem in these days. It is due to increased number of automobiles, factories burning process and uses of chlorofluorocarbons (CFC). The students learn about the environmental problems. Specially air pollution. They visit to the industrial area and also observe the heavy traffic areas. They make brochures, charts and posters. They conduct seminar. They make project, they played the role of social worker, painter, investigator and problem solver.

HHow can we save our environment?

How air pollution can be minimized?

 What is air pollution?  What are different causes of air pollution?  What is the effect of air pollution on ozone layer?

SStudents communicate and share their views with others, solve problems of their studies, polish their creativity, enhance their observational skills and intellect, get information about the uses and names of different things and ideas through videos, stories, and games, help and assist each other in making project and solving problems. TThey use the tools of internet like searching and surfing different sites. SStudents assess their creativity, observation, communication skills, knowledge and thinking powers through check list. SStudents plan and do thing in a systematic way.

My students will EEnjoy learning, exploring, observing, understanding and searching the subject of their interest through the computers.  C Communicate and work with each other they understand the importance of teamwork and learn collaboration skills which help in their adult lives. TTo develop different things to express their innovative skills and plan, create, modify, and transform their ideas and information. They become responsive to the command and do work with responsibility. PPolish the thinking abilities and methods of making conclusion and able to link the theory with the system. TTo assess their skills and judge their abilities, criticize their mistakes and rank themselves among others. TTo use the computer in their parents supervision. This will help them in long run and they will able to pin point the problem and get their solutions from the computer and they develop the element of self direction.

Know the causal agents of air pollution Reduce these agents Minimize the activities cause air pollution Use a variety of media and formats to communicate with different people, explain process work in the real world Summarize their project and represent it in a systematic way Use technology tools Assess themselves through out the project and also assess by their teacher.
