4 DLMS Migration Status  LMP began migrating MILS transactions to DLMS format beginning with the LMP release in Dec 06 Dec 06 – 2 Apr 07 – 3 Aug 07 – 6 Dec 07 – 24 Apr 08 – 17 Aug 08 – 12 *Note: Transactions can be inbound and/or outbound and may migrate 1 or many DIC’s per transaction (see spreadsheet for details)

5 Lessons Learned  Development Early communication with DAASC to leverage existing DAASC maps Early communication with DLMSO early to understand existing DLMS implementation conventions Work with DLMSO and DAASC to identify, document and implement service- specific requirements Utilize an Incremental development and implementation approach TEST, TEST, TEST  Communicate testing needs with DAASC early and often  Include key Trading Partner systems  Cutover Coordinate shutdown of migrating MILS transactions with DAASC to enable them to process and clear internally Incrementally restart transactions after cutover
