Outline New Data Access Tools LCD Backup Paperless Initiative for COOP Data Data Quality Tools Local 3-Month Temperature Outlook

Standardized Website WFO Climate interface Access to WFO Climate Products –F-6 –CLI –RER –CLM –RTP Additional Data available at discretion of WFO Daily updated web climate database Available through the local WFO page or Data Access Tools

NOWdata Free, limited access to ASOS and COOP data 24/7 customer data inquiries In partnership with NCDC and the Regional Climate Centers Driven by standard database - RCC Applied Climate Information System (ACIS) Available through the local WFO page or Data Access Tools

Events sometimes force observations at LCD sites to be made at backup locations (ex. Snowpaid). Beginning in February 2007, the following information will be made available on the F-6 and published at NCDC when a backup site is used: –What element of observation –Distance to backup site –8-point cardinal direction to backup site LCD Backup

Ensures more timely and accurate reporting of Cooperative Observer Network (COOP) data to customers, operations, and the national climate archive. Focuses on transmission via internet and telephone with common databases. Paperless Initiative

Health of the Network Identify local data errors Limited access Datzilla Data problem-reporting/tracking Field corrections Link to NOAA data archives Limited access for users Standardized NOAA quality control Data Quality Tools
