All about praying All about praying. This presentation is about Muslims and different things they do to pray. By Millie Charlotte Rose Hopper and Josephine Kathelyn Norfolk Walliman.

What is prayer and when do Muslims pray? Muslims pray to talk to Allah (God), and so Allah can talk to them. Friday is a special day because Muslims pray together, they try to pray at a Mosque.

Before they pray Muslims wash before they pray and take their shoes off. This is how they wash. 1.Wash your hands 3 times. 2. Rinse mouth 3 times. 3. Wash nostrils 3 times. 4. Wash face and hair 3 times. 5. Wash your arms starting with the right. 6. Rinse ears 3 times. 7. Wash feet with right foot first. Muslims say some special words in Arabic while they wash.

What they do to prepare First they get white clothes on so that everyone looks the same. Boys also put hats on and girls put scarves on. They also need to get their mats ready.

What they do during praying During the ceremony Muslims do a special routine. The routine is called Rak'ah. While they are doing the routine Muslims say some special words in arabic.

The Movements Start by standing on your mat with your hands by your side. Then raise your hands behind your ears. Next remain standing but with your hands crossed on your tummy. Then bow down with your hands on your knees. After that stand back up straight with your hands by your side. Next kneel with hands and head on the floor. Continue with kneeling back up with hands on your knees. After put your head to the right and then to the left and say peace be upon you in Arabic

Why do Muslims pray? Muslims pray to make them feel part of the community. They also pray to remember Allah and to talk and say thank you or sorry to Allah.
