“All About Me” PowerPoint Project Grade 4 Students Fleetwood Area School District

Getting started… Click Start. Mouse up to Programs. Mouse up to Microsoft Office. Click on Microsoft PowerPoint.

Create a slide from scratch… Click Blank Presentation, click OK. Choose the blank slide, click OK. A title slide appears, ready for you to work with!

Choose a background. Click on the Design button. Choose the background that will compliment your presentation.

Add text to a slide… Click Insert. Click Text Box. Click Format. Click Font. Choose font, font style, font size, and font color. Click OK.

Your first (Title) slide should include: The title, “All About Me”. Your name Your homeroom (Grade and teacher’s initial, e.g. 4-G)

Insert any clip art image you choose… Click Insert. Click Picture. Select Clip Art. Click the category you want. Choose an image. Click Insert.

Add a picture of yourself… Click Insert. Click Picture. Click on From File. Click on My Documents Click on 4 th Grade Pictures. Click on your picture. Click Insert.

Moving and resizing your image… To move an image, drag the cursor over the image until a 4-point arrow appears. Hold down the mouse button and drag. To resize an image, drag the cursor over the image until a 2-point arrow appears. Hold down the mouse button and drag.

Animate text or images… Highlight text or image. Click Slide Show. Click Custom Animation. Choose desired affect options. Choose desired timing options. Click Play. SAVE!

Slide transitions… Select Slide Show. Select Transitions. Choose Effect and speed. Choose Advance method. Click Apply to All.

View Slide Show… Click Slide Show. Click View Show. Click mouse as appropriate. Click End Show.
