What is an EMT? Emergency care of patients Care for patients without life-threats Provide care professionally

Roles and Responsibilities Personal and scene safety – Body Substance Isolation (BSI) – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Patient Assessment – Airway, Breathing, Circulation (ABCs) – Immediate life threats – Stay and play or load and go Lifting and Moving Patients Transportation

Training Prerequisites – Certified CPR – First Responder EMT Program – Hands-on training in labs – Lectures – Three hospital – Five ambulance rides
