Educational Background Born in Galveston, raised in Pearland, and went to Alvin Schools. I graduated from Alvin High School I graduated from Alvin Community College with an Associates Degree in Art I graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts-Applied Design and Visual Arts. I have a teaching certificate for grades EC-Early Childhood-12 th grade.
Jobs Worked as a hostess for Casa Ole for 2 weeks Started teaching art in afterschool programs at 19 yrs old for a dropout prevention programs. Became a social worker on an intermediate campus for PISD-helped students stay in school-Drop Out Prevention. Became a program director of an after school program here at RYSS for one year. I have been a classroom teacher for almost 3 years. I am a painter/muralist
In this class… You will learn about art, how to create it, and how it can apply to real world situations (college and career readiness). I do take notice of attendance, grades, and assignments. If you do not come to class and work you will fail. Art involves academics. I do log tardies. If you don’t want to visit a court/judge come everyday. Pass needed. NO CELL phones.

Art is… What pushed me to apply at UHCL and I received a new student scholarship for $2,000 dollars.
Art helped me network I met the Dean of Students on my Community College campus. I told her how much I wanted to be a teacher and she wrote me a recommendation letter for the scholarship at UHCL.
BFA This is my acceptance letter to UHCL to begin my art studies at UHCL.
Hard work takes you places I became a social worker while I studied in college and worked on my teaching certificate.
