New reading books for the classroom and to read at home. Sounds and letters are introduced systematically and at a fast pace. Children are only asked to blend words with sounds they know. When children bring home a Ditty or storybook they will have already practised it at school. Children are taught to use sounds to decode words. What’s new or different?
