Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation Forest Carbon Partnership Facility Participants Committee Meeting (FCPF PC 2) Gamboa, Panama, March 11-13, 2009 Additional Decisions

Additional Contributions  Section 7.1 (c) of the Charter provides that Additional Contributions shall be made in increments of US$1 million.  In accordance with the Amendment Procedure set out in Section 21.1(b) (ii) of the Charter, Section 7.1(c) is amended by deleting the clause “provided that the Additional Contributions are made in increments of US$1,000,000.”

Carbon Fund Status The FMT intends to convene a meeting of the Carbon Fund Participants during the Annual Meeting in October 2009.

Future of REDD Financing The FMT will make available information on current and planned initiatives for potential REDD financing for the next PC meeting.

Bureau  The Bureau of the Participants Committee is composed of the following members:  REDD Countries:  Gabon  Panama  Vietnam  Donor Participants and Carbon Fund Participants:  Australia  The Nature Conservancy  Switzerland  The term of the Bureau members will expire at the time of the next election of the PC members

Meeting Dates  The next meeting of the Participants Committee (PC 3) will be held on June 15-17, 2009 in Montreux, Switzerland  Subject to checks by the FMT and the UN-REDD Programme Secretariat, the schedule of the next PC meetings is as follows:  PC 4 and Annual Meeting: October 26-28, 2009 (Washington, DC)  PC 5: March 15-17, 2010 (location TBD)  PC 6: June 14-16, 2010 (location TBD)  PC 7: October 25-27, 2010 (location TBD)
