Eid Eid is an islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadam - the month of fasting. Eid is a joyful celebration. It is a day of forgiveness, victory and peace, fellowship, brotherhood and unity. Muslims are not only celebrating the end of fasting, but thanking God for the help and strenght that he gave them in the previous month. “Eid mubarak ho”, which means “Happy Eid”

Interesting facts The holiday of is so important to Muslims throughout the world that in some countries this day is a Public Holiday On the day of Ramadam famillies vist each other and exchange Ramadam gifts and greeting of Ramadam Mubarak.

Why this festival is Different to the Celebrations in New Zealand? This celebration is different to New Zealand because people do fasting for a month and they have to eat food before sunrise and sunset, and then at the end of the month they have a celebration called Eid.
