2007 Fannin County B.E.E.S. Beautification Education Enforcement and Strategies

B.E.E.S. Purpose and Mission  Promote the Beautification of Fannin County.  To Facilitate, Educate and promote Environmental Stewardship of the citizens in Fannin County.

The problem!  Increasing incidences of illegal dumping in Fannin County  Old furniture  Used Appliances  Used Tires  Old Boats  Household Trash  And Much More.

Costs of dumped Trash in Fannin County. 12 Months period in 2006 from Precinct 4  4500 Cubic Yards Of Trash  Costing $5500 / Year To Haul Off Trash  Taking 106 Hours To Pick Up 4 precincts X $5500 = $22,000 tax dollars

Results of County Labor.

Using the Tire Cutter Sending 250 cut tires per load Cut tires cost $.80 ea compared to $4 per whole tire in land fills Saving $800 for every 250 tires the county picks up.

Fannin County Barns or Precinct #3 and #4 barns receive trash daily.

DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS  Remember that throwing lightweight items like cans and wrappers in the bed of a truck is the same as throwing it out the window and can result in a $200 fine when it blows on to the road way.
