Types of forms Columnar – each field appears on a separate line with a label to its left – vertical Tabular – best for just a few fields – horizontal Datasheet – much like the table datasheet view Hierarchical – multiple table on one form
Creating a Form Start with the wizard, then modify Create a simple form for the Contacts Input Note that the lookups are already there
Data from Multiple Tables Forms can display data from multiple tables Create a form with Contacts and the City and State from Zips Can be confusing – appears to all be data from the same table Disable the City and State fields
Hierarchical Forms Forms and subforms Can see data from multiple tables Create a form for the Contacts and Donation tables
Editing Forms You can edit forms to make them look just the way you want We will look at editing forms in more depth next week
