Drum A percussion instrument that includes snare, tenor and bass. The use of drums can be dated back to the year 6000 BC. Traditionally, drums are used to perform tribal rituals in Africa. Earliest drums were made of reptile or fish skin. Europeans used drums to signal an enemy approaching.
Piano It is a combination of string and percussion instrument. There are two basic types: the upright and grand piano. A piano consists of 12,000 parts. 70% of a piano is made of wood; the keys are plastic. Nicknames are "eighty-eights” and “black and whites”.
Harmonica A wind instrument that began in the 1800’s The harmonica derives from Jewish and Chinese culture. The first patent of the harmonica was issued in Germany. It is also known as the mouth organ or French harp. The harmonica became popular in African-American blues music.
