ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS

Our Planet Earth is the home for all forms of life – human beings, animals, birds and plants.

But now human beings are killing our planet.

The country air, once clean and fresh, now is polluted by power stations and factories and by fumes of cars.

All over the world forests are disappearing. People cut down trees because they need wood, paper and new places for farms and houses.

There is much litter on banks of lakes and rivers. In some rivers you can see a thick foam caused by chemical waste. Many rivers are now empty of fish.

These are some serious environmental problems. Scientist’s predictions about our planet’s future are alarming. If we want to live in a healthy world we must solve these problems.

And remember: the Earth is our home. If we don’t care about it, it will die. We can plant trees. We should throw away litter in special places. We should take care of animals and plants. We must stop destroying forests. Our plants and factories should reduce pollution.
