#1 First, the Electromagnetic energy (EME) and the Thermal energy (TE) transform into Chemical energy (CE) through photosynthesis of the plant. EME & TE CE

#2 Over time the little plant grows and becomes a big tree. Over the years the tree has been collecting and using the Chemical energy.

#3 When the tree gets big enough someone will cut it down. The chainsaw that they have has Chemical energy because of the gas that they put in the chainsaw. When the turn it on it will transform into Kinetic energy.

#4 When the tree is cut down the Kinetic energy transforms and transfers. The Kinetic energy of the chainsaw transforms into Thermal energy in the wood but also it still has Chemical energy. KE TE & CE

#5 The wood is wrapped, sold, and taken to someone’s home. The logs are put in the fire place and lit on fire. Once the wood starts to burn, the Chemical energy is released in the form of heat and light, thermal energy. All that’s left is ashes. CE
