Stage Rigging Rigging involves moving loads over the heads of the general public. Like any other system of moving equipment, operation by untrained operators can be dangerous.

Anyone operating stage rigging must be trained in the operation of the equipment and be authorized to use the equipment.

Rigging Components Shackles -very high load limit -very strong, but fragile Slings -very high load limit -load limit increases as folded over

Rigging Components Truss -Generally square or triangle shaped -High load limit -Reinforced aluminum alloy Truss Stand -Supports truss -Load bearing

Rigging Components Steel Cable -Wound steel cable -Very high tensile strength -Used for safety measures with lighting equipment -Higher strength cable used to hang lighting truss

Rigging Components Genie Super Tower Lift -800lb load limit at an 18” load center per tower -Crank-up winch

Load Angles The rate capacity of a multiple leg sling is directly affected by the angle of the sling leg with the vertical. As this angle increases, the stress on each leg increases with the same load. If the sling angle is known, the capacity can be readily determined by multiplying the sling's vertical capacity by the appropriate load angle factor from the table.

Rigging Safety It is absolutely crucial that any gear that needs to be rigged is done by a trained technician who is confident in what they are doing. Safety of our clients, event attendees, and ourselves is much more important than making sure the EAW’s get flown.
