Purpose To build a hydrogen powered car. To build a hydrogen powered car.

Materials Fuel cell car kit Fuel cell car kit Cables Cables Water Water Solar panel Solar panel Sun or artificial light Sun or artificial light String String Wire cutters Wire cutters Screw driver Screw driver

Procedure 1. Followed instructions from “Themes and kosmos” (see attached) 2. Take car outside and use direct sunlight or place car under artificial light. 3. Use solar panel to generate power directly or use solar panel to start the hydrolysis reaction to make hydrogen. 4. If the solar panel is powering car, observe the car. 5. If the solar panel is powering the hydrolysis reaction, watch the fuel tanks until the hydrogen gas is generated. 6. For hydrogen power, take solar panel cable off and watch car run.

Results The car ran powered by hydrogen fuel.

Conclusion In conclusion we decided as an opinion that hydrogen is better than solar power to use to make the car run. The reason was that when there was no sun it was not possible to make the car run. However, when you use hydrogen to make the car run, the car is able to operate during the day and at night. When it is a rainy day you could collect water to use as hydrogen fuel and hydrogen fuel is reusable.

Results The car ran powered by solar energy.

Conclusion Solar power is a good source for energy because you don’t need to use any chemicals that might damage our air. We only need to use the power given by the sun with does not release any bad chemicals at all.
