Multiplication By: Paige Faulkner & Gi Kwon

Multiplication Multiplication is a mathematical operation of scaling one number by another. It is one of the four basic operations in elementary arithmetic. Because the result of scaling by whole number can be thought of as consisting of some number of copies of the original, whole-number products greater than 1 can be computed by repeated addition; for example, 3 multiplied by 4 can be calculated by adding 4 copies of 3 together: 3x4= 4+4=4=12

There are different property's in multiplication zero property, is where You multiply any number by 0 that gives you zero. And there is Identity property, is where you multiply any number by 1 and you get one. Commutative property when you change the order of the factors, the product stays the same. Associative property when you do factors in different ways, the product stays the same. You can use Algorithm: You can also use area model: = x x3=180 4x3=12 192

You can also use Exponents
