The Ethics of Leadership

Each opportunity to make a decision is an opportunity to make an ethical choice.

Ethical leadership is about being clear about principles, and values and how your behavior reflects those principles and values.

Employee behavior and organizational culture are simply mirrors of the leader…ethical or not.

Rule One: Embrace high ethical standards over “success at any cost”.

Rule Two: “Walk the talk” regarding character and ethical issues.

Rule Three: Take responsibility for ethical missteps.

Rule Four: Demonstrate courage in upholding ethical principles despite potential impact.
