MAN 1.6 We have been given the RIGHT to use this room. With all RIGHTS come RESPONSIBILITIES. We must be RESPONSIBLE for our learning environment. Show respect to all parts of the room. We don’t own the room!

MAN 1.6 Ask yourselves these questions: – How would I like my classroom to look when I enter the room? – Would my parents and primary school teacher be proud of the way I am looking after the room? – Can I do better?

IN CLASS 3 rules: – No calling out – Stay seated – Stand when visitors enter GOLDEN RULE

SEATING ARRANGEMENT Changes regularly. Teachers may have their own seating plan. You may be moved if you don’t behave appropriately. Talk to those around you. Get to know them. – How are you today? – What did you do last night? – Did you see how good Essendon were on the weekend?

LOCKERS Lockers assigned in alphabetical order You have a RIGHT to a locker. Your RESPONSIBILITIES for your locker: – Keep it clean and organised – Don’t leave food overnight – Always leave it locked. ALWAYS! – No graffiti. – Do not sit on the lockers. They are not chairs.

CLASSES Lining up: – Stand at your lockers and wait for the teacher before homeroom and after recess and lunch Have all your materials ready. Wait quietly. In between classes wait quietly and prepare for the lesson – Books out ready to participate. Stand when teachers enter room.

CLASSES Listen to the teacher. We are here to help you. Always follow their instructions. ALWAYS! They will do things differently. ADAPT. Try your best. It’s not a competition between you and other students. It’s about challenging and improving yourself. Copying doesn’t help learning! GOLDEN RULE

OUTSIDE Yr 7 area – Green basketball courts – Mansfield building – McAuley Library You have a RIGHT to have a break outside. This means you have RESPONSIBILITIES!
