Halloween!

Halloween is always celebrated on October 31st

People begin preparing for Halloween for about one week Halloween Preparations: –Carving pumpkins to make Jack-o'- Lanterns –Making costumes –Decorating houses

Usually, each member of a family picks their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch to carve

How to carve a pumpkin 1.Cut off the top 2.Take out the seeds 3.Be creative and carve out your design! Put a candle inside the Jack-o'- Lantern to make it come to life!

Here are some finished Jack-o'-Lanterns

People can be very creative!

Trick-or-Treat! In the United States, Trick- or-Treating is the children’s favorite Halloween activity. They dress up in costumes, and ring their neighbors’ doorbells. They say “Trick-or-Treat” to ask for candy! By the end of the night, children can have several pounds of candy in their bags! Children get so excited about dressing up for Halloween, they begin thinking about their future costumes starting the day after Halloween!

Here are some of my Halloween costumes

Halloween Activities Haunted Houses and Graveyards –People love to be scared on Halloween. Haunted Houses and graveyards are popular places to visit because ghosts are believed to live in them. Some people claim to hear and see ghosts when they visit these places on Halloween.

Scary Movies –Scary movies, or horror films, are also very popular to watch on Halloween. Movie theaters will usually show an old horror film at midnight on Halloween

Halloween Foods On Halloween, people prepare foods that are supposed to look disgusting, or have Halloween shapes. The point is to gross you out! Candy and desserts made with pumpkin are also very popular Halloween foods.

Halloween Parties –Costume parties are very popular on Halloween. People like to dance, eat candy, and bob for apples at Halloween parties.
