Application for a scholarship Read the conditions of the scholarship programme (Do you fit in the programme? Do you need to find appropriate university yourself? What documents do you need?) Look for the deadlines Documents (mostly obligatory): –application form –motivation letter –structured Curriculum Vitae –detailed study or research programme –recommendation letter(s) –letter of acceptance (invitation letter from a host university) –copy of study documents, e.g. diploma, certificate of study, certificate of exams passed... (you may need an official translation or just a simple translation done by yourself!)
Application for a project grant Read all the documents of the grant programme (Does your idea fit in the programme? Are you an eligible applicant? Can you apply as a person or as an institution? What documents do you need?) Find appropriate partners Look for the deadlines Fill in the application form carefully Present your project adequately (not too long, not too short – clear statements, structure and activities planed) Budget – be realistic! (be careful about restrictions given by the donor) Check if the application is complete and clear (ask a colleague to read and comment it, it really helps)
