Map Projections

A head on Mollweide’s projection with the standard parallel at the Equator (top). It is also plotted on Mercator’s cylindrical projection (center) and on a cylindrical equal-area projection, each with two standard parallel’s at 30 degrees N& S. Scale is accurate, or true, on a standard parallel and stretched or compressed on the other parallels.
