All polar bears have to learn to catch food for themselves. To catch prey they: Stalk their prey. Stay still Run up to it Then jab their sharp jagged teeth in to it to kill it.
All polar Bears live along icy shores in a frosty frozen place called Antarctica. In fall the mother polar bear will make dens in the snow banks, where she will stay through the winter to give birth to the cub or cubs. In spring the mother normally comes out from her den followed by her cubs. Normally, she will help and keep them for two and a half years. During that time she will protect them and teach them how to hunt.
After the cubs birth she will keep them and look for food for them if she can’t find enough food she has to drop them of. At that point they have to survive on there own or die.
The Polar Bears Paw pads have rough surfaces that help prevent them from slipping up on the ice. Polar bears swim using their large front paws to propel themselves through the water and their back legs to steer. Only humans prey on polar bears. An Adult Male Polar Bear generally weighs between ,700 pounds (363 and 771 kilograms). But a Female Adult Polar Bear often weighs between pounds (227 and 272 kilograms).
