Habitat They prefer very cold water (-1°C to 10°C). They live in Atlantic waters around Greenland, Canada, and Iceland. They have been found 2,200 meters deep in arctic waters.
Diet They eat a lot of fish and sometimes seals. Some strange things have been found in Greenland sharks’ stomachs, including the remains of polar bears, horses, moose, and in one case a whole reindeer.
Appearance The Greenland shark can grow to be more than 20 feet long and they can weigh up to 2,500 lbs. They are very slow swimmers.
