day 1 Athens – Galaxidi / 75 miles Galaxidi The town of Galaxidi is located in Central Greece just a short drive from Delphi. It is a nautical town the history of which dates back over 4000 years. Although many invaders tried to conquer Galaxidi, the city was never beaten. Today Galaxidi is a very popular resort. We suggest visiting the Archaelogical, Nautical and Folklore museums. The city has some beautiful beaches such as the Kalafati beach.

day 6 Corfu (Kerkyra) – Lefkada/70 miles Lefkada Lefkada is a very popular summer resort. It is a green, mountainous island connected to the mainland by a bridge. The island’s name means white and refers to the white cliffs in the south part that are characteristic for Lefkada. In the capital of the island there is an interesting Archaeological museum and the “gramophone museum”. The castle of Agia Marva and the Papanikolis cave are also worth visiting. Lefkada is famous for its stunning beaches some of which are placed among the finest in the world. The most popular beaches here are Porto Katsiki, Eggremni and Kathisma. Equally beautiful are the beaches of Agios Nikitas, Megali Perta and Pefkoula.

day 7 Lefkada – Ithaca / 26 miles Ithaka Ithaka, the home of Odysseus, is a tiny island surrounded by some of the clearest waters in Greece. In the capital of the island, Vathy, you can visit the cave of the nymphs and the small archeological museum. The monastery of the Virgin Mary (Panagia Kathara) and the ancient ruins just outside Stavros are also worth visiting. There are beautiful beaches in Vathi, Frikes and Kioni.

The island produces grapes and wine and, probably, this is the reason why, during the ancient years, the island used to be protected by Dionysus – the god of wine. We suggest visiting the Venetian citadel outside Zakynthos, the beaches where the turtles Caretta Caretta lay their eggs at night and the famous blue caves in the north of the island. The shipwreck (Navagio) on the beach of Smuggler’s Bay is also worth a visit. There are planty of beaches on the island from which the most famous is Navagio beach (shipwreck). Other beaches are: Argassi beach, Porto Zoro, Banana beach, Porto Roma, Gerakas, Laganas beach, Agios Nikolaos and Kalamaky.
