My Vision For Ministry The Process of submitting to God’s Mission for my life.

Background About Myself I was raised in south- eastern Minnesota – Wykoff. (Fillmore County) Attended UMW-majored in Dairy Production. Married in 1977 to Marci Larson. (She was from Bloomington.)

Early years – My 20’s Attended Concordia College in 1978, to become a DCE. Completed one year received a AA degree. Left school to farm with my father in Wykoff. Started milking 50 cows / farmed 200 acres.

Farm Life 1985 moved to Lenora, Minnesota. (Three kids, 50 cows.) 1988 moved to Strum, Wisconsin. (Everything we owned.) Sold dairy herd Became herdsman on five hundred cow dairy. June 2001 returned to Concordia University, StPaul Major in Christian Outreach.

Why Christian Outreach? (DCO) When I was young I wanted someone to show me how to share my faith. I became convinced that I was not the only who had or has this need.

DCO I want to learn how to share my faith effectively… I want to teach others what I have been taught… I want to reach out to the lost with the Good News of Christ… I want to help Christians see the harvest fields that surround them… I want to motivate Christians to answer the call to seek the lost…

A picture of the many churches: Like sheep in a pen… Many people are comfortable with where they are… They are not aware of the open gate to the field… They need someone to lead them through the open gate and into the field…

My objectives for ministry Through the power of the Holy Spirit and by His guidance, I will serve the Lord… By encouraging fellow Christians to be rooted in the Word of God… By guiding them to trust in Christ for their salvation, strength, hope and peace.

My Personal Commitment I will pray for others and care for them. I will set an example for others by becoming involved in their community.

My role as a DCO: To lead the church into the community that surrounds them… To encourage people to be missional focused… To help people focus on their neighbor’s needs… To equip people to share Christ’s love… To give people tools to use and show them how to use them.

Prayer Through God’s love and by His Spirit, I have been blessed; My hope is for many others to also be blessed because of my obedience to Jesus’ call to be His disciple.
