Where do people celebrate Halloween? USA, Canada – generally 31st October Children dress up in Halloween costumes of ghosts, witches, etc. and go to the neighbour´s houses and are given sweets, fruit or money. They typically carve lanterns out of pumpkins – they hollow out the pumpkin and carve scary faces, lit by a candle inside.

The First Thanksgiving was celebrated to give thanks to God and the Native Americans for helping the pilgrims survive the brutal winter.
