1945 First wireless network The Fcc allowed a mobile radio / telephone service to be created in St.Louis , Mo. The first network consists of six channels.

1973 Martin Cooper invententor of cell phones April 3 , 1973 is the day the first public telephone call placed on a portable celluar phone in a anolog Motorola Duna Tac 800tx amps 1983.

1979 Cell phones first generation launched in Japan.

1991 The first “Modern” network technology on digital 2G ( Second generation ) Celluar technology was launched by Radiolinja in 1991 in Finland on the GSM standard.

1992 The first touch screen phone was made , the IBM Simon.

1988 The Celluar Technology Industry Association is created , one of it’s biggest contributes is when it helped create TDMA phone technology .

2001 Bell south announces it is leaving the pay phone business because there is to much competition from cell phones
