Grade: Kindergarten Lesson: Day one & two

3. To familiarize the students with the concept of becoming active citizens.

4. To familiarize the students with basic map skills.

Art center: Use the many materials to create a picture of our community. 3. Reading Center: Will be filled with many books about communities. 4. Make Believe center: Use the clothes and accessories to pretend you’re a community helper. 5. Word center: Community centered words.
