Should the United States Government Give Amnesty to the ‘Aliens’ ? Handy Tjenatho Arizona State University

Pros and Cons Legalizing the immigrants would help the country to boost their economy and decrease the crime rate, and yet this would give chance for future immigrants to be legalized.

Legalizing the Immigrants Would Boost the Economy “Economic growth is an increase in real GDP. It means an increase in the value of goods and services produced in an economy.” (Pettinger) Consider looking through a simple supply- demand theory

Lower the Crime Rate Each individual’s details are recorded There was a decrease in crime rate after IRCA in 1986 (Baker)

Would Cause a Major Increase in Population “Immigration law allows U.S citizens to petition for certain qualified relatives to come and live permanently in the United States” (the Department of Homeland Security) Proved by a sudden increase of Hispanic population after IRCA was implemented

Decision taken must favor current citizens The successfulness of this newly planned regulation is in the ratio 50:50 Do you think this regulation would lead to a better nation? Conclusion
