University Student Union “A Winning TEAM”

Blue Print Blue Print A graphic designer in the Design and Printing Center will professionally and effectively design a variety of products for clients such as banners, posters and brochures. Designers will meet client’s needs by creating quality work in a necessary time frame. Designers will maintain a positive working environment with fellow designers and work with staff to coordinate hanging of banners and t-stand posters. Mobility into excellent leadership opportunities is also available within the Design and Printing Center.

Set Up Crew Set up crew staff arrange and prepare event spaces to ensure customers’ reserved spaces are prepared, and any appropriate accommodations are ready as planned. They also assist Union Managers with building safety, security, and enforcing departmental policies and procedures to ensure that the customer’s experience is positive. Previous experience with event set ups is preferred but not required to work on the crew.

Information Exchange Information Exchange Attendants work scheduled shifts throughout the week at the Information Exchange (Main Level). They answer questions about the University and the Union, cash checks, send and receive faxes, ticket sales, assist with Central Reservations, and act as a resource for students and visitors alike. The position involves a high degree of customer interaction. Previous cash handling experience is helpful, but not required for this position.

State Tech State Tech operates and maintains lighting, stage and sound equipment to service students and University affiliated needs across campus ranging from lectures to major concerts. State Tech members also provide general labor and support for these events, which includes setting up and tearing down staging, equipment and rooms. Previous experience with event audio or production audio support is preferred but not required to work on the crew.

Union Manager Union Managers provide customer service to our guests as they prepare for events in the Union facility by ensuring spaces are prepared and ready as scheduled. Also responsible for building safety and security, enforcing facility policy and opening and closing of the building based on building hours. This position also provides limited support to other service areas in the Union as they all play an integral role in the event planning process.
