The school year starts in Autumn  The first day of school in Slovenia is usually on September 1, unless it is a Friday or the weekend.

Autumn is a wonderful time of year!  We like working in our school garden.

We have „potato“ holidays Many asks why we call them potatoes holidays instead of autumn holidays or even chestnut holidays. The reason, of course, lies in the past where the school holidays were not ment for relaxation but for children to help at home and in the fields. Nowadays, of course, of all the tradition, stayed only the name.
